Leonela Vólquez, Director of Community, Sustainability and Research at Punta Bergantín, presented uniforms to the 7 teams participating in the XVII tournament, including Cangrejos, La Tribu, Tamarindo, Los Ciruelos, Pancho Mateo, Los Power and Boca Nueva.

As usual, each team represents its specific neighborhood and/or sector of the municipality of Montellano, among which El Higuerito, El Rincón, El Mango, Juan Lockward, Tamarindo, Invi CEA, Los Ciruelos, Tamarindo, Pancho Mateo and Cangrejos are present.

The 17th version will be played, with 13 native players per team for a total of 91 players and one reinforcement from outside the municipality in each team.

This event is organized by the Montellano Basketball Delegation (DEBAMON), which is affiliated with the Puerto Plata Basketball Association.

Punta Bergantin continues to take a PRO-Sport position through its executive director Andrés Marranzini, who states that tourism as a cultural factor and driver of a country's economy goes hand in hand with various sectors that serve as a stimulus to capture markets that drive development, such as sports activities. The formula that combines tourism and sport is becoming increasingly attractive for travel agencies and hotel chains to include in vacation packages, as it offers more economic benefits and promotion to the country. At Punta Bergantín we believe in this.
