SANTO DOMINGO. \u2013 The Punta Bergant\u00edn project has signed an agreement with the Santo Domingo Institute of Technology (INTEC) to formalize the contract for a study on the economic impact the municipality of Villa Montellano will experience with the development of the tourism and real estate project.<\/p>\n
The event, led by the acting rector of INTEC, Alliet Ortega Rabassa, and the executive director of the Punta Bergant\u00edn project, Andr\u00e9s Marranzini Grull\u00f3n, was also attended by authorities and representatives of these institutions. The contract for services for this research project was announced. This contract, the result of a bidding process in which INTEC participated and was awarded, was also presented.<\/p>\n
In their remarks, they expressed satisfaction with the agreement and the importance of the study, both for the community, given the benefits generated by this investment, and for the implementation of new tools to contribute to scientific research in tourism. They emphasized that these proposals were introduced by Julio S\u00e1nchez Mari\u00f1ez, the late rector of INTEC.<\/p>\n
The acting rector of INTEC, Alliet Ortega, stated that "the study will be conducted by researchers and specialists in the tourism sector, as well as professors from the university's Economics and Business Department, providing reliable data, rigorous analysis, and objective recommendations that will help understand the economic and social implications of investments, which are key to maximizing the benefits of tourism development."<\/p>\n
While the executive director of the Punta Bergant\u00edn Project, Andr\u00e9s Marranzini Grull\u00f3n, highlighted the importance of this study as a tool for making decisions that guarantee sustainable growth in the Punta Bergant\u00edn area, stating that, "the signed agreement promotes the purpose conceived with the community, where we have been consistent in affirming the direct impact on the local economy that these investments promote based on an efficient approach to them, as well as allowing for the planning of the creation of new projects or expansions, employment opportunities, among others.<\/p>\n
Punta Bergant\u00edn is a tourism project aimed at strengthening the hotel and real estate offering in the northern part of the Dominican Republic.
