The estimated investment exceeds 180 million dollars for this development, the most important in the hotel sector in the northern region.
The Bergantín tourism development announced today that in 2024 it will begin construction of the first two hotels to be built in the project, which will be developed by the Martinón Group, with Spanish capital.
The hotels in question are currently in the design phase and construction will begin in the first half of next year. Grupo Martinón will make the incorporation of this hotel property to the new Bergantín destination possible and has entered into preliminary discussions with Grupo Hyatt affiliates to use the Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara brands for these two hotels.
It was reported that the estimated investment exceeds 180 million dollars for this development and it will become the most important hotel investment in the northern region.
"This investment is a clear sign of support and confidence in what will be the new great destination in the north of the country," said the management of Bergantín in a statement.
The international promotion and initial investment in Bergantín as a tourist destination is part of the joint effort of the Ministry of Tourism and the Reservas Group (Banreservas), which manage the initial foreign investment and offer facilities for the development of hotel infrastructures that contribute to national development.
Upon completion, Punta Bergantín is expected to have more than 4,500 hotel rooms, as well as 5,000 residential rooms and a film studio, along with an academic campus aimed at promoting education and innovation in the country.
