Santo Domingo.- As part of its commitment to sustainable development and generating opportunities for the community, the Punta Bergantín tourism project signed a collaboration agreement with DREAM Project to implement the “A Ganar” program in the municipality of Villa Montellano, Puerto Plata.

This initiative is aimed at young people who are currently neither studying nor working, with the purpose of strengthening their job placement opportunities through comprehensive training that combines the development of socio-emotional skills, technical training and practical experiences in real work environments.

The program uses sport as a pedagogical tool to promote values such as discipline, leadership, effective communication and teamwork, while developing skills aligned with the needs of the labor market, especially the tourism and service sectors.

Andrés Marranzini Grullón, executive director of the Punta Bergantín Trust, emphasized that: ”The development of Punta Bergantín must generate tangible benefits for its surroundings. With the *A Ganar* program, we are investing in the talent of our youth, providing them with the tools to access quality jobs and preparing them to meet the growing demand for human capital that drives the tourism development of Puerto Plata.”.

The program will train 50 young people and will be developed in four stages: strengthening soft skills, technical training, internships in companies, and a support and follow-up process to facilitate their entry into the workforce. As a complement, graduating participants will be referred to INFOTEP's English program, with the aim of further strengthening their professional profile and increasing their employment opportunities.

This alliance between Punta Bergantín and DREAM Project will contribute to the development of local talent, reducing employability gaps in communities near the project and strengthening the availability of skilled human capital to meet the needs of the province's tourism growth. Furthermore, the initiative seeks to generate a sustainable and measurable social impact that benefits participants, their families, and the community at large.
