Villa Montellano, Puerto Plata. The Punta Bergantín project welcomed a group of students from the Tourism and Gastronomy programs at the Pontifical Catholic University Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) on Saturday, November 15th, with the aim of providing them with a detailed overview of the objectives, progress, and projections of this initiative that will transform the tourism and economic development of the northern region.

The educational session was led by Fabián Domínguez, Community Manager of Punta Bergantín, along with Manuel Alejandro Redondo, who presented the students with key information about the mission, the strategic value of the project and its direct impact on the municipality of Villa Montellano.

During the meeting, Domínguez emphasized that Punta Bergantín is envisioned as a world-class tourist destination, with a plan that integrates hotels, residences, a film studio, an academic campus, and various recreational facilities. He stressed that the project is committed to innovative and sustainable growth, aimed at strengthening the local economy and enhancing the competitiveness of Puerto Plata.

He also emphasized that Punta Bergantín promotes a management style based on sustainability, social responsibility and community transparency, pillars from which communication strategies and awareness programs will be developed to keep the population of Villa Montellano informed about each stage and change of the project.

For his part, Manuel Alejandro Redondo detailed the environmental actions that Punta Bergantín has undertaken since its inception, aimed at preserving the natural environment, protecting the ecosystem, and conserving the fauna and flora of the territory.
