Villa Montellano, Puerto Plata. – The Punta Bergantín project is advancing in the development of basic infrastructure that will facilitate the construction of three announced hotels, residential areas, a beach club, and a golf course over the next 24 months.

The information was provided by Andrés Marranzini during a meeting with journalists from the province of Puerto Plata, where he explained that progress is also being made on the installation of plumbing networks and the construction of lagoons, which are part of the project's flood prevention program.

He explained that the construction process for Punta Bergantín must incorporate, both in the development of its infrastructure and in the construction plan, one of the most influential climatic characteristics of the area: the more than 40 days of average rain per year that affect the area.

Marranzini also reported that all necessary permits—environmental, municipal, and construction—have recently been obtained, allowing them to move forward with the final design phase of the hotels.

He also announced that construction of the first hotel will begin before the end of this year, and that development of the other two will begin during the first six months of next year.

Construction of the golf course and clubhouse is scheduled to begin next April, while construction of the beach apartments, a significant portion of which has already been sold, will begin in May.

The sales and activities center, as well as the gatehouse and the main definitive access road to the project, will be ready before the end of the first quarter of 2026. The current service road will continue to operate as a regular entrance.

Marranzini also highlighted that next year, together with INFOTEP, he will launch a human resources training program tailored to the needs that will arise with the development of the project, with the goal of meeting a significant portion of the job demand by hiring residents of the region.
